J.K. Rowling releasing new children's book
One of our most successful female authors, JK Rowling has delighted fans with an announcement of a new children’s book release. Her first non-Harry Potter book is created with children in mind and is called The Ickabog. The story will arrive in daily installments on her website for free and will also have a creative illustration competition attached to it. Having written the story 10 years ago, JK feels that now is the perfect time to release it.
Indiana Police Officer Builds Bridges With 12-Year-Old's Lemonade Stand
In Indiana, a police officer is being praised for his kind actions after he went about of his way to support one little boy and his lemonade stand. When Ron Glon, a police officer in South Bend, Indiana stopped by 12-year-old Jaelynn Wilson's lemonade stand, his mom recalled, "I thought, 'Oh, we're in trouble.'" Read the full story here
